Error with Silverlight Navigation template

Dec 28, 2010 at 4:54 AM

Whenever I use the nRoute Silverlight application template (from the vsix) the resulting application wont compile even though I don't have the any issues with the WPF application.

The error happens whenever I'm trying to build.

Could not load file or assembly 'sscorlib, Version=0.5.5.0'. The system cannot find the file specified.

I even added the RxJS.dll file manually.

Hi, I think you have a some sort of referencing issues, I can just point to the following points:

- Make sure you have the right version of Rx framework installed (note SL3 release is different from SL4, as is the WPF version).
- RxJS.dll isn't required for nRoute or SL.
- If you having issues with msscorlib then it is possible your SL Tools installation is either corrupted or you've got the wrong version

And lastly, the following are dependencies for nRoute:

- System.Windows.Interactivity.dll
for Silverlight (version 4.0.5.x): http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?displaylang=en&FamilyID=d197f51a-de07-4edf-9cba-1f1b4a22110d
for WPF (version 4.0.3.x): http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?familyid=75E13D71-7C53-4382-9592-6C07C6A00207&displaylang=en
for WP7 (version 3.7.5): http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=86370108-4c14-42ee-8855-226e5dd9b85b&displaylang=en

- System.Observable.dll
for Silverlight from Rx-framework http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/devlabs/ee794896.aspx
for WP7 (it is available in the tools, just ensure it is referenced)

- System.Runtime.Serialization.dll
this is available in all .NET runtime versions, just ensure it is referenced

Hope this helps,
Rishi
